A little about our Captains….
Tiki Splash, LLC is a Tiki Cruise charter boat entertainment business located on the North East River of the Chesapeake Bay. Our team, consisting of a passionate husband and wife, is dedicated to sharing their love for boating and their experiences exploring tropical paradises. Having witnessed the beauty of island life, our goal is to bring that same experience to Maryland. Enjoy tour day on a Tiki Cruise on the North East River.
Leading our team is Laurel Waters Poretz, a lifelong boater who holds a 100 Ton Master USCG license with Radar and Towing endorsement. She has three+ years of experience as a safety boat operator at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the operation of their own 48-foot motor yacht, Laurel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Furthermore, she has an extensive background in the entertainment industry, having worked for over five years as a wedding coordinator and decorator at Woodland Gardens Wedding Venue. Additionally, Laurel holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Studio Art and has a remarkable twenty-two years of bookkeeping experience as office manager for Triumph Industrial Park.
Andrew James Poretz, a valuable member of our team, brings with him a strong construction background. His experience includes operating various types of heavy equipment, as well as working in marine construction. Previously, Andrew pushed construction barges and operated various boats at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for 6+ years. He also holds a 100 Ton Masters USCG license with a Towing endorsement, further showcasing his expertise in the field. He is now fully committed to Tiki Splash operations.
